Deluge Valve Introduction:
The deluge valve is a control valve that achieves automatic water
supply by controlling the fire water supply line and can be opened
by electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical means.The deluge
valve is the assit facility of sprinkler system. Deluge valve
allows water to flow into sprinkler unidirectionally and alarm at
the same time.
The valve body is divided into three chambers: upper chamber, lower
chamber and control chamber.When a fire happens, fire alarm system
probes it and starts solenoid valve to make pressurized water in
control chamber flows out. Thus pressure in control chamber drops,
valve flap open and water flow to sprinkler system pipe and was
transported to sprinklers when force on valve flap assembly applied
by rocker is smaller than force applied by water supply. Besides,
water motor alarm will start to alarm. Pressure switch motions and
send electrical signals to control system.
Application:
It is widely used in dry deluge system, wet deluge system,
pre-acting system, water mist and drencher system. Also applied
with foam extinguishing system to constitute the foam spray system
and applied in explosive and flammable fire disasters.
